Ever wanted to do a home project but felt you just didn’t know how? I can help.
Typically there are two avenues to to complete home renovations - hire someone or do it yourself. But I provide a third option: coaching homeowners to complete the project themselves. In practicality, this means rolling up my sleeves and working alongside you, teaching you as needed to give you the skills to complete the project. My goal is to enable you and work myself out of a job.
We can work together on multiple different subjects such as
framing
drywall
mudding/taping
laminate flooring
baseboards, trim around doors and windows
fences
decks
Example
You want to install laminate flooring in your house. You’ve watched the online videos but still aren’t sure how to proceed. I will come over to your house, show you how to install the boards and how to cut the boards along the wall and around the doors. Once you feel confident in the process, I will leave and you can finish on the project on your own. I could come back another time if you have questions.
It could cost you thousands of dollars to hire a contractor to install the flooring. Hiring me for a few hours can give you the confidence to do the job yourself.
Pricing
I charge $100/hr. This includes working with you, teaching you, and figuring things out together. Another contractor may charge less but will work many more hours than I will, because by the time I leave you will have the skills to do it on your own.
